Exhibiting At The Other Art Fair Dallas

It's official, I'm going to Dallas! I'll be exhibiting in The Other Art Fair Dallas at the Dallas Market Hall May 9-12, 2024. This is exciting for me since this is the first event of this type and format that I will participate in. Saatchi Art is the main presenter and they hand-pick the artists through applications. I will have more details as the time comes closer. I'm testing out the smallest booth size, but I think it is plenty to start with. The back wall is eight linear feet and side wings are four linear feet each. I am planning a variety of sizes, so as of late I have painted a few 12" x 12" works and have a few more small scale planned.

Artist Lisa Tennant Receives 1st Place Award In The Watermedia Category

The 2020 35th Texas & Neighbors Regional Exhibition is an annual collaboration between the Irving Art Association and the Irving Arts Center, celebrating their 35th year. The exhibition, set to open on May 17th, 2020 at the Irving Texas Arts, was one of many art exhibitions to show entirely online. The exhibition was juried by Juror Kristin Rivas, the Director of Samuel Lynne Galleries in Dallas, Texas.

Lisa Tennant was awarded 1st Place in the Watermedia Category for her work "Cast Aside", which depicts Morgan's Camera Shop neon sign and the surrounding backdrop of Hollywood, California. Tennant's work, part of a series collection of works celebrating iconic Mid-Century Modern neon signage, was painted to show the structure as it is, celebrate it's design, and note it's slow disappearance of these vintage lighted signage relics from the landscape due to abandonment and costly maintenance.

85 works of art were chosen by Juror Kristin Rivas for the 35th Annual Texas...
